Project Overview
Nor-Son has proudly partnered with McDonald’s Corporation over many years. When they were launching their “Experience of the Future” Major Remodel Program (MRP) to modernize design and upgrade technology, they looked for a long-term partner. Our professionalism, quality, attention to detail, and contracting procedures won over the construction manager for McDonald’s Corporation who chose us to serve as the general contractor of their restaurants across the Midwest.
Beyond new builds and remodels, McDonald’s has relied on Nor-Son for upgrading facilities to service new product campaigns, leveraging our craftsmanship, timeline expertise, and value. Our phased construction approach minimizes disruption to loyal customers while maintaining operational continuity. We were honored to build McDonald’s Eagan, one of the area’s first MRP locations, where it was given a comfortable, café like feel.
McDonald’s has built its legacy on speed and consistency – delivering “hot, delicious food fast” for over 70 years. Nor-Son has been working with the Corporation and its franchisee’s for nearly 40 years, so we understand the importance of legacy. Our construction managers create aggressive schedules to meet operators needs while managing budgets and finish selections to continue both McDonald’s and Nor-Son’s legacies.
Speed to market is extremely important in the quick-service industry so we have done many projects with extremely tight schedules. Projects like St. Peter, MN, which went from demolition to the VIP Grand Opening in just 118 days, and Moorhead, MN, which completed a refresh of both interior and exterior in only two months. These sorts of projects demonstrate our ability to reduce the impacts of lost revenue by delivering high-quality results within tight timelines.
