Project Overview
As Construction Manager for Cuyuna Regional Medical Center in Crosby, Nor-Son has been the responsible party in managing the phasing, temporary barricades, and infection control implementation for this multi-phase addition and renovation project. We coordinated with Owner and staff to keep all operations of hospital and clinic open throughout the lengthy construction. This included 30 months of construction, even while building the new main entrance addition. During an inspection of OR facility renovations, state authorities commented that the construction and maintenance of the temporary barricades were among the best they have inspected.
Our Superintendents met weekly with staff to review possible changes/improvements to the phasing and infection control plans. They know that properly constructed barricades, daily cleanup, negative air pressure, and the use of HEPA filter exhaust machines ensure that dust and other contaminates do not escape the construction zone.
