Avantech
Project Overview
Metal buildings can be architecturally interesting. Avantech is a leading manufacturer of cast and CNC aluminum tooling for the Global rotational molding industry. Formerly Lakeland Mold, the local business changed its name in 2014, and with it came a new building. The 42,000 square foot Butler building incorporates architectural tapered elements and metal panels to give architectural interest to the building while meeting the local architectural review requirements. Custom framing solutions were used to increase the insulation standards and air tightness of the metal building to improve the operational lifecycle cost of the building. Locally owned, the husband and wife team worked closely with Nor-Son in material and finish selections to keep the aesthetic design and budget aligned.
