Mark builds high-performing teams for Nor-Son Construction. His belief that everyone is uniquely gifted guides him to put the right person in the right job. Mark finds mentoring and coaching his team to be a privilege. Invested in relationships and integrity, he fosters open communication and maintains a do-whatever-it-takes attitude.
A member of Nor-Son Construction’s leadership team, Mark is a key shareholder of Nor-Son with over 38 years in the construction industry. Mark began as a carpenter, moving through positions in the field and office. He understands the requirements and challenges of each role he oversees as President. Mark has experience in the ENR Top 35 Fortune 100 firms and a proven track record for the successful completion of large commercial projects up to $63 million. He has diverse experience in all facets of commercial construction including health care, higher education, government, hospitality, sports/fitness, and residential projects. Mark has a B.A. in Economics from St. Olaf and an MBA from the University of St. Thomas.
Mark is passionate about his faith and family. Relationships are his benchmark of success. He engages in outdoor activities with his family, wife and two kids, and friends. Some of Mark’s favorite things to do include fishing in the Great Lakes, camping, hunting, traveling, and enjoying cabin life.
