Architectural Technician
Being a newcomer to Nor-Son doesn’t phase Amelia. With both a strong family background in the construction industry and a degree in Architectural Drafting and Design AAS from Detroit Lakes, MN she strives to put forth quality work. She grew up with a carpenter as a father, one general contractor uncle and another that’s a Surveyor. Constantly seeing the industry, it’s no wonder she loved Art, Math, and shop classes in high school. At a young age she was making buildings with legos and drafting up homes for her whole friend group to live in together. Bursting with ideas and ready to continue her dream career she aspires to meet expectations and deadlines for projects assigned to her.
In both her professional and personal life, Amelia loves to be creative and consistently has carpentry or art projects going on at home. She shares her life with her amazing husband whom she’s been married to since 2019 but has known much longer. Since they were friends before they were high school sweethearts they have many of the same interests and hobbies. They share their home with super spoiled pets including a dog, cats, and a gecko. They also love to open up their home to foster animals and foreign exchange students. Enjoying the culture, fulfillment, and chosen family that brings with it.
